Acer-F1Acer has brought out a new phone in the name of the neoTouch F1. This is a phone which has style and ingenuity throughout. Its large screen looks and functional layout ensures it is seen as a serious competitor to many PDA style smart phones.It is quick as well, by virtue of the Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8250 1 GHz processor,which is one of the fastest processors available in a phone.

acer-f1-smartphoneThe phones 3.8 inch TFT resistive touch screen displays 65,000 colours at a pixel size of 480 x 800 pixels. It uses its Acer user interface, version 3.0 to provide navigation around the phones functions. Additional features include an accelerometer, proximity and ambient light sensors. These provide the means to alter the aspect of images, save battery power and automatically adjust the screen brightness according to the light around the handset

The phone has a 5 mega pixel camera offering 2560 x 1920 pixel resolution with picture taking aids such as auto focus and an LED flash. Geo tagging is provided as a means of referencing images by location. The phones internal memory is 256 Mb RAM and 512 Mb ROM, this can be expanded up to 32 Gb by using the microSD slot. Video recording and playback are provided at VGA quality and offer a useful alternative should the need arise or be desired.

Internet access is provided by the built in HSDPA offering access at 7.2 Mbps coupled with the ability to make use of publically available hot spots by utilising the Wi-Fi function. GPRS, EDGE, Blue tooth and miniUSB offer multiple connections and ensure the phone is able to perform numerous tasks.

The phone comes with an MP3/MP4 player, stereo FM radio, which happens to come with RDS, as its means of providing musical entertainment. Facebook and Flikr integration is also provided, whilst pocket versions of MS Office and a voice memo function are included within the package.
